What we evaluate, and how.
A counter that prices by measurement has to be clear about what it measures. This is the list the counter in Madison Heights works from — what is evaluated and bought, what is sold, and how each piece is tested — so you know what to expect before you drive.
The method is the same for everything on it: tested in front of you, weighed in front of you, priced off the day's spot with the number on the screen.

The method
Purity, authenticity, weight, price — all on your side of the counter.
Nothing on the list is priced on opinion. The test settles purity, the check settles authenticity, the scale settles weight, and the board settles price. The counter's only judgment call is whether a piece is worth more intact than as metal — and when it is, you are told.

- Why publish your standards?
- So the drive is never wasted. A counter that prices by measurement can say in advance how a piece will be tested and what the number is built from — so the people who come in know what to expect before they leave the house.
- How is a piece tested?
- Jewelry and scrap are tested for their actual purity — the karat as tested, not as stamped or claimed. Bars and coins are checked for authenticity, and everything is weighed on a calibrated scale. All of it happens in front of you.
- What if I'm not sure what a piece is?
- Bring it. The reading takes seconds, there is no charge for it, and you are told plainly what it is and how it is priced. A mark inside a band is a claim; the test is the fact.
- Do the same standards apply when I'm buying?
- Yes. What is sold across the counter is the top of the same matrix: sovereign coins, LBMA bars and certified numismatics, verified before you pay. A counter that measures what it buys can stand behind what it sells.
